Chimney stacks
Sustainable protection of the environment relies on the detection and accurate measurement of dust and particle emissions.

Discover modern technology for dust monitoring:
  • For very low to very high dust concentration
  • For various applications from baghouse monitoring, to monitoring of dust in factories for OH&S, to emission monitoring
  • Measurement in dry or wet gases
  • For low maintenance and peace of mind
Emission measurements in dry and wet exhaust gases

Incinerators demand precise emission monitoring due to varying gas composition, temperature, and moisture levels. Undershooting the dew point can cause corrosion in measurement devices exposed to exhaust gases. Therefore, both dry and wet exhaust gases must be measured highly accurately – with maximum possible availability and low maintenance overheads.

Safe filter monitoring
For efficient control of filter performance and function monitoring, dust concentration is measured continuously directly downstream of the filter.

The more sensitively and quickly a measuring device is able to react to a change in dust concentration, the better equipped the plant will be to operate without dust penetration.
Filter monitoring synchronised with dedusting
Early detection of filter defects helps prevent emission limit breaches.

If only the defective bag/s is to be replaced, the exact location of the defect must be located. To do this, dust concentration must be measured synchronised with the dedusting of the bags, so that filter defects can be detected through the occurrence of emission peaks.

Proven and reliable dust measurement in wet gases

FWE200DH: Principle of operation

The FWE200DH bypasses a portion of gas, heats it to vaporise moisture, then measures dust via laser-scattered light.

Afterwards, the test gas is fed into a measurement cell in which a laser beam illuminates the particles contained in the gas and thus generates scattered light. A sensitive receiver captures scattered light to determine dust concentration with high precision.

Finally, the test gas is again fed back into the gas duct via the test gas probe.
